Three years after having resolved the case of a kidnapped young boy, tormented police officer Adam Kruk returns with his family to his hometown in Podlasie for good. As soon as he arrives, Kruk is assigned to a new case and finds himself involved in the middle of an illicit network of tobacco smuggling with local gangs fighting to control the region in an increasingly dangerous power struggle. At the police department, Kruk and his new colleague Justyna get closer as they investigate a horrific series of murders of red-haired women being burned alive. They find a connection to a cold case of a woman who died of carbon monoxide poisoning in a strange accident. In this new season, Kruk will continue his personal quest to resolve his anger issues. Thanks to the old 'Whisperer'; a folk therapist known for her unconventional methods and treatments; Kruk discovers that the reason behind his growing rage is his constant fear for his family's safety. It seems ironic, as it is precisely due to his aggressive impulses that the local gangs want to get rid of him, exposing his family's safety to great unknown danger and making his worst fears come true.
