Olivier Courson was appointed Chief Executive Officer at STUDIOCANAL in early 2007. He joined the CANAL+ Group as General Counsel in 2003 and from 2005 he has been a chairman of the board of directors at STUDIOCANAL.

Olivier Courson, 42, joined the Conseil d’Etat after graduating from Sciences Politiques and l’Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA). He also holds a Master in Law. He advised the Minister of Industry on telecom deregulation in 1995-1996 and the Centre National du Cinema (CNC) from 1997-1998. He has co-signed in 1998 a Conseil d’Etat report on The Internet and Digital Networks.

He was appointed Technical Adviser to the Minister of Culture and Communications on cinema and European & International affairs in 1999. In 2001 he joined the Prime Minister’s cabinet as Advisor on Culture and Communication.
