ERNEST & CELESTINE SELECTED FOR THE QUINZAINE DES RÉALISATEURS
The animated film ERNEST & CELESTINE has been selected for the Quinzaine des réalisateurs that will take place in Cannes from May 16th to 27th 2012.
Adapted from Gabrielle Vincent’s comic books, ERNEST & CELESTINE is directed by Benjamin Renner, Stéphane Aubier and Vincent Patar. Daniel Pennac signed the film script.
The film tells the unexpected and unshakable friendship between a little mouse and a bear.
STUDIOCANAL coproduces the film and manages all the rights as well as the international sales. French release is planned for December 12th 2012.
CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2012 : MOONRISE KINGDOM AND YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHING YET IN THE OFFICIAL SELECTION, IN COMPETITION
MOONRISE KINGDOM, directed by Wes Anderson, previously announced as being the opening film of the 65th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, is also in the Official Selection, in competition. STUDIOCANAL distributes the film in France, where it will be released on May 16th, opening day of the Festival.

MY WAY (CLOCLO), OPENING FILM FOR COL.COA
MY WAY (Cloclo) by Florent Emilio-Siri will open the 16th edition of COL.COA, French Film festival of Los Angeles, running April 16-23, 2012.
Three more STUDIOCANAL films will also be screened: Mélanie Laurent’s THE ADOPTED (Les Adoptés), Georges Méliès’s A TRIP TO THE MOON (Le Voyage dans la lune), and CALL ME SAVAGE (Le Sauvage) directed by Jean-Paul Rappeneau.
THE HUNGER GAMES, RELEASED BY STUDIOCANAL IN GERMANY, HEADS THE BOX-OFFICE
THE HUNGER GAMES (DIE TRIBUTE VON PANEM) was released by STUDIOCANAL in Germany on March 22nd.
The film, on top of the box-office with 390.000 admissions cumulative after the first week-end, is the best opening of the year in Germany so far.
This is also the best opening for a STUDIOCANAL movie in Germany in 5 years.
CLOCLO - 1 MILLION ADMISSIONS IN A WEEK
CLOCLO tops the French Box-Office with 1 006 479 admissions on its release week. The film is available on 905 screens. According to Ecran Total magazine, the satisfaction index is as high as 95%.
STUDIOCANAL co-produces the film, handles distribution in France and international sales worldwide (excluding Belgium).
